Project Hope UNSW is an official delegated body of the Chinese Youth Development Foundation (CYDF), which is a non-profit organization in China founded in 1989. They seek to raise money for underprivileged children in China, especially those in rural areas, whose indigent living standard deprives them of access to quality education, and ultimately striping away any chance of a decent future. The money they raise is transferred directly to the CYDF, who in turn will establish funds to help individual children.

On O-Week, Rising project manager Peter Li donated 500 copies of Rising Internet Security CD to project hope, once user renew through project hope, the 25% of the profit made will go into project hope hence go into CYDF to help individual children.
